Restitution Recovery

The purpose of the Restitution Recovery Unit is to monitor, track, and collect delinquent restitution owed in criminal cases. A Restitution Officer is responsible for monitoring and tracking all court ordered payments made by the defendant.

The Restitution Officer enforces the court’s order with several different methods: restitution dockets, contempt hearings, restitution agreements, income withholding, and prison account attachments.

Lee County currently has more than $5,000,000 in delinquent restitution and other court ordered monies awaiting collection.
